Kachemak Bay Shorebird Festival

Flock
to Our Shorebird Festival
Early in May each year Alaskans celebrate
the return of huge flocks of migrating shorebirds flying "home" from
Asia, Hawaii, and South America.
The birds stop for a feeding frenzy on
the beaches of Homer, Alaska, headquarters for the Alaska Maritime Refuge and
co-sponsor of the annual Kachemak
Bay Shorebird Festival.
The four day festival has grown from its beginnings
in 1993 to Alaska's largest wildlife festival. Check out the website above for
information and registration for this year's festival.
